Dear Old friends Paul and Christine Dennis who have done so much for many cancer charities
over the years, chose us to benefit from Paul’s 65th birthday celebrations. Rather than have
presents they asked family and friends to make a donation to help us raise further funds. I hear
it was a great night and the massive sum of £583.50 was rasied. I know they have pledged to
support us with the Ruby Wedding celebration in September, Thank you so much to all who
donated and here’s to a good year for everyone.
Thanks again to Karen who works at Ageas. The dress down day on 29th
November rasied £840 & Ageas are to match it. Thanks to them and all the
staff who got involved and Karen for putting us forward to benefit helping
those with cancer. Mike - Now organising a Race Night for next year. You

Haydn Jones, thank you for raising money for us for completing the Rat Race on May 14th 2014. It is the largest assault course on
earth. 20 miles, 200 obstacles. You are an amazing young man and we can’t thank you enough for your generous donation, and
supporting the Dave Wellman Cancer trust.
Leah Sturgess completed the annual Great South Run in 1 hour and 36 minutes, a great achievement, and she raised £285 for us. The
money raised will be directed to our new Southampton Cancer Immunology Centre. Leah has now become a friend and supporter and
she has recently completed the 2016 GSR for us. Thank - you Leah and please pass on thanks to your sponsors.
Terri, sister of Tina was proud to hand over the cheque to Ioni on the Hamwic
Chemotherapy Ward and this will go towards funding an Acute Vein Finder. Iona
raises lots of money for the unit and the DWCT was happy to be able to help. Terri
knows how important this machine is and hopefully this will assist when the nurses
and doctors are trying to find veins which can be difficult for those having treatment.
We are glad to help aleviate the stress to patients and this is truly a remarkable piece
of equipment. Well done all! 8 Jan
Leah is a friend of Cheryl who herself has supported us for years. Cheryl did an amazing swim and raised £735 last year and without our
supporters we would not be able to do what we do, so please remember the centre will truly make a huge difference to those living with
cancer. Every penny counts and we appreciate your support. Oct 2014
